Windermere House has joined forces with Windermere Lions Club and the Muskoka Lakes Rotary Club to bring Muskoka an awesome, rum inspired event on Friday, August 16, 2019 to celebrate International Rum Day.
To support the Muskoka flood relief efforts, Windermere House will be raising money for Windermere Lions Club and the Muskoka Lakes Rotary Club. Donations collected for these organizations will be used directly to support community flood relief efforts.
Many people are still experiencing the after-effects from this year’s devasting floods, causing economic barriers including damaged property & business loss. The goal of this fundraiser is to provide relief funding for Windermere Lions Club and the Muskoka Lakes Rotary Club keeping in line with our partnerships to strengthen our community when we can.
The day will include rum tastings on the Windermere House Terrace from 1:00PM – 3:00PM & 5:00PM – 7:00PM. Rum tastings will be accompanied by authentic steel pan drums. A $10 minimum donation is asked for guests participating in the rum tastings.
Guests are also invited to join a live concert featuring The Lightening in a Bottle Country Rock Throwdown with Ty Baynton in the Windermere Pub 8:30PM – 11:30PM. A minimum donation of $20 is asked for guests to enjoy live music and passed hors d’oeuvres for the evening.
To support the Muskoka flood relief, the Windermere Lions Club and Muskoka Lakes Rotary Club will be collecting donations throughout the event. Organizers are hoping for a great community turn out. If you are unable to attend the event in person, you can still donate directly to Windermere Lions Club and/or the Muskoka Rotary Club.
